Sanctum Consult was formed in Dubai during November 2016 by a group of consultancy professionals who value the power of relationships, collaboration and trust. Partnering is a key value of Sanctum Consult, both in the way its staff are empowered to deliver extraordinary outcomes through their service provision and in the way the company as a whole operates as trusted advisors to their clients.

Sanctum Consult currently holds commissions with a number of large multinationals in the Middle East, Asia and Africa, providing services in the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, India, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, South Africa and Australia.

Craig Beeson

Mr Craig Beeson has over 15 years of international consultancy experience spanning all major industry sectors. He has advised clients in the UK, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Far East, specialising in complex mega-projects.

Prior to founding Sanctum Consult, Mr Beeson held the position as Regional Director and Head of the Contract Solutions value proposition for ARCADIS Middle East, having advanced his career through differing managerial commercial and project controls roles for reputed firms including COWI A/S, Gardiner & Theobald and Bechtel.

Mr Beeson holds a reputation in the consulting industry as a reliable deliverer of high quality solutions for his clients. He prides himself on building trusting and collaborative relationships, thereby achieving optimal outcomes for all parties. His specialisms include project & programme management, commercial & risk management, dispute resolution and project controls.

Mr. Beeson is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS). He holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Instituto de Empresa, Madrid, a Masters in Construction Law and Arbitration (LLM) from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, UK, a Postgraduate Diploma in Surveying (PGDipM) from Reading University, UK and a Bachelors degree in International Economics (BA Hons) from Coventry University. He is also a registered Dispute Adjudication Board (DAB) Practitioner in the Middle East and a qualified Six Sigma Yellow Belt.


Marvin Bijkerk
Executive Director

Mr Marvin Bijkerk has over 16 years’ experience in the field of resource and operational management within the property, construction and engineering markets.  His activities have seen him deliver projects in the UK, Europe, the Middle-East, Asia, Africa and South America for law firms, consultancies, developers, contractors, engineering firms and investors alike.

Concurrent to founding Sanctum Consult with Mr Beeson, Mr Bijkerk is the company owner of Cerno International Advisory, delivering recruitment and training solutions in commercial, contractual and programme management concerns within the engineering and construction industries across the globe.

Prior to these Directorship roles, Mr Bijkerk held manager and consultant positions with boutique consultancies, developers, manufacturers and businesses, including Capita, Lend Lease, Elliott-Turbo and Hudson.

Mr Bijkerk is known for his personable approach and fluid service adaptability.  He can quickly take a “helicopter view” of a programme or business and efficiently find and deliver value add propositions.  He is recognised for his consultative working method, industry and skills appreciation and energy to deliver beyond the client’s expectations.  Next to sustainable energy, regeneration and development, his focus latterly is on disciplines within the field of dispute resolution, commercial management and project management.

Mr Bijkerk has considerable experience in setting up new business units or companies.  Educated in the Netherlands, United Kingdom and the United States, he is familiar to bringing different cultures together and drive businesses and operations forward or tactfully help them to scale down when needed.  He is the husband of Mrs Bijkerk and proud father of four children.  Although based in his home country the Netherlands, Mr Bijkerk reaches out to clients across the globe.

Alan Richell
Value Proposition Leader Business Advisory & PPP Services

Proficient in the most senior business leadership roles Mr Alan Richell leads the largest and most complex business transformations. He brings comprehensive understanding of and experience in public and private sectors, and the different values they espouse. Numerate, I.T. literate, and with sophisticated relationship management abilities in sensitive and complex stakeholder environments, he combines all this with a strong team ethic and is clear sighted both about setting goals and providing the means to achieve them.

After a first degree in Law and a postgraduate legal qualification. Mr Richell started his working life as a lawyer in the UK before joining P&O/Bovis. He transitioned into advisory consulting over 20 years ago with Gemini, then Capgemini, Consulting, before relocating to the Middle East as a Partner with EC Harris in 2014.

Mr Richell’s career has largely centred around strategic consulting and assets in all their forms. His true passion and capability is working with business leaders to effect change and develop organisations, delivering real tangible results. He is passionate about transferring knowledge and skills to clients, leaving a sustainably different level of individual and organisational capability in place.

Alastair Davidson
Value Proposition Leader, Project & Programme Management

Mr Alastair Davidson has extensive experience in project management and project controls on all types of projects and bids, including transportation, building and infrastructure projects in Asia, Europe, North and South America, Middle East, Africa and Australia.

Specialties: Cost control, forecasting, margin enhancement planning, construction planning, material control, planning & scheduling, earned value (EVM), contracts administration, change control, risk and opportunity management, resource loading, work breakdown structures and milestone administration.
